Bio

If you really want to know who Lonnie Spiker is, you need not go any further than the title of his latest album "Unapologetically Honky Tonk". Though born in Pennsylvania he now maintains a home in Austin TX as well as Nashville TN. But one listen will tell you he is pure Texas Honky Tonk.

Anyone seeing his live show will note his obvious connection to an audience and his pure love of ENTERTAINING an audience as well as singing to them. In his early years he had the privilege of opening several shows for Marty Robbins (the consummate entertainer) along with 23 other major artists. He’s toured the country working for other acts as a bass and lead guitar player. Shortly after moving to Nashville he wrote several Canadian hits with co-writer Ron Demmans. He scored 3 Texas and European hits off of his 2002 album "My Future Ain’t What It Use To Be". And now in April of 2005 his "Unapologetically Honky Tonk" is destined for even higher ground with excitement already building from those who have heard advanced cuts of this album. It is sure to move Lonnie and his music to a much larger audience than ever.

A songwriter, performer and recording artist Lonnie has a list of other interests including scuba diving, flying, karate, reading philosophy and studying physics.
