Thanks to the airplay by the folks overseas it looks like this single will be heading up the charts fast. Lonnie has been doing a few personal appearances over the summer but mostly writing for his next CD. The material is really great and if that will be any indication of his how good his next CD will be it's going to be a MONSTER!!

Lonnie is very interested in booking an overseas tour for next spring. We will keep you posted on how that works out. It also appears that he is ramping up for a much busier tour schedule for next year. On The Road Again so they say.

November 6th 2006

A BIG THANK YOU to Lonnies Fans on the International scene and a BIG thanks to Hillcrest records for making it possible.

October 15th 2006

October 10th 2006

Well once more Lonnie has charted #1 on the ECMA music charts with "Another Place Another Time" knocking Kenny Chesney out of the #1 spot. That is four #1's and five consecutive top 10's on the ECMA charts. Check them out by clicking Here. Oh and a big congratulations for Ross Allen at Hillcrest label for Country Promoter of the Year.... Way to go Ross.

In other news Lonnie has been writing material for his next album and doing a lot of demo work. From the looks of things is next album is going to be a killer and mostly written on his own. Not bad.

Lonnie will start a production project with a new artist to soon be announced. He will be producing a female artist and we're looking forward to that project.

So we'll keep you posted on how that comes along. We really appreciate you stopping by and checking the news.

June 6th 2006

Well Lonnie's voice is keeping him very busy lately as a demo singer in Nashville. He now has several writers asking him to use his voice to shop thier songs. This is a great advantage since other labels, artists and management companies are starting to hear his voice much more often.

Lonnie is also starting to demo the first half of his NEXT album. This is the very beginning of how an album begins. From what we hear his next album will show much more of his own writing ablilities but you can bet it will still be TEXAS HONKY TONK!!!

"Unapologetically Honky Tonk" is STILL working out to be a stellar album for him. "Let's Face The Music and Dance" is now sitting at number 18 on the ECMA charts. It appears that this may be heading to yet another number one for Lonnie. If so that would give him his THIRD CONSECUTIVE #1. "A Little Lonlier Than This" is still on the chart at 83 for 19 weeks so far.

Lonnie is planning another TEXAS release in August of this year. Keep checking the news. It can only get better from here.

TIP!!!!!! Many people have asked how they can find more info on what Lonnie is up to. Well we recommend to go to a search engine like Google and type in "Lonnie Spiker" (be sure to use the quotes) and you'll find tons of pages of info from all over the world on Lonnies career. GIVE IT A TRY!!

April 22nd 2006

Well things are moving right ahead .... Lonnie's ECMA release "A Little Lonelier Than This" is dropping to 50 this week with 14 weeks on the chart and 2 weeks at number 1. "Fallin" had dropped to 92 after an incredible 27 weeks on the charts and 3 weeks at number one. Lonnie's newest ECMA release "Let's Face The Music" should hit the charts next time. That would put 3 songs on the ECMA top 100.

On Nashville news Lonnie and The Unapologetically Honky Tonk Band are doing every Wednesday night at the world famous Roberts Western World. Keep checking the news Lonnie will be doing a bunch of touring this year and already lining up dates for next year.

On the Texas front Lonnie should have a new release in June along with a bunch of dates down there this year.

On the Cowboy circuit thanks to our good friend Joe Baker in Riudoso, NM Lonnie will be releasing "A Little Lonelier Than This" for the June Anniversary Issue of the Back Forty Bunkhouse.... We love ya Joe.

And finally on May 24th number 1 UK Recording Artist Lucie Diamond will be appearing on stage with Lonnie at Roberts Western World.

Things are really ramping up folks and are only going to go up from here. We thank you for checking the news page. Keep in contact because there are some more neat things to come.

April 9th 2006

Wow what a last couple of weeks. Lonnie was in Linden TX attending the Texas Music Awards. Nominated for three awards but no wins. Which was great since had chance to perform on the show with Micheal Martin Murphy and catch up with of his Texas artist friends. He even stayed the same B&B as TC Smythe and Gary Taylor so of course there was a guitar pull the next morning lasting several hours and so he left late in the day.

Lonnie wants to thank all the folks at the TMA for the great hospitalitly and great freinds and kindness to Texas Artists you can only find in Texas.

It was a total blast and Lonnie Hopes his next release will lead him back there again.

On the overseas charts Lonnies last release "A Little Lonilier Than This" is at 39 on the International Country Charts and his release before that "Fallin" is still on the charts at 74 and on the charts for an incredible 26 weeks.

Now for the Best Part Lonnie's Latest single "Face The Music" should show up on the next charts and at a very high number since so many stations have picked it up so quickly. Keep an eye out on our news so you can see where it enters and where it goes.

Right now Lonnie is working in Nashville a lot due to a writing project on two albums for other artists. The future shows many more shows back in Texas (thank God) and several overseas trips plus many other gigs in the SouthEast. Much is happening in the background right now which we will be free to tell you about Lonnie hopefully in the next few months. Thankyou for checking in and Lonnie hopes to see each and every one of you soon.

Oh By The Way be sure to email your email address on the fanclub page because that will be firing up real soon. DON'T FORGET OK???????

FEBRUARY 18TH 2006

Well Lonnie had a great time visiting with friends, artist and air personalities at CRS this week and it wrapped up with a packed show at "Judge Beans" on Friday night....those who missed the packed house and romping good time really missed quite a show. Ranger Doug dropped by as did Wade Hayes and Tecia McKenna. This was a kick off to a great year.

FEBRUARY 10TH 2006

Well we got another review for our overseas release "A Little Lonlier Than This" from Robert K Oerman in the Music Row Magazine. He says:

LONNIE SPIKER/A Little Lonelier Than This
Writer: L. David Lewis/Monty Holmes/Kim Williams; Producer: Bill Green; Publisher: Sony Cross Key/Opryland Music Group, ASCAP; Magalith (track) (www.lonniespiker.com)
— Spiker’s new CD is titled Unapologetically Honky Tonk. And that’s just what its debut single is, right down to the bounced fiddle bows and steel guitar flourishes. I do love a country shuffle, and this rings with the authenticity of a classic Ray Price record.

FEBRUARY 8TH 2006

The ECMA (click on the red ECMA to see the chart), chart this week shows Lonnies latest overseas single "A Little Lonlier Than This" as Number 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Writer: Bobby Jenkins/Jody Jenkins; Producer: Bill Green; Publisher: Trey West, BMI; Megalith (track) (www.lonniespiker.com)
— The album is titled Unapologetically Honky Tonk, and that’s what I call truth in advertising. Fiddle? Check. Steel? Check. Shuffle beat? Check. And a barroom baritone who sings you out onto the dancefloor? Check that, too. My kinda reckid.
